A famous vort explains "Ldorotam" out of order, right before mentioning Techeiles to hint it will be later "nignaz" [lost, forgotten].

But wait!

We know Sancherib mixed up the nations making it impossible to wipe out Amalek (Yadayim 4, 4), but the Torah says explicitly "וַיֹּאמֶר כִּי יָד עַל כֵּס יָ' מִלְחָמָה לַי' בַּעֲמָלֵק מִדֹּר דֹּר".

Yeah, I can come up with easy answers too. I'm hoping for somehting more geshmak, which uproots the question entirely and says I'm a fool...



 

The "famous vort" was by the GR"A (https://bluefringes.com/textual_sources ... ledorosam/) who explained why it got lost (not that it will always be lost). The only thing I can think of is, we have a Mesorah, ironically, for Gezeira Shavas. This isn't one of those that we have a Mesorah for.

After that, one needs to go into the realm of Kabbala to come up with something "Geshmak."
